Dalton: Chips and Salsa Heaven

Love story: Emily and Chips and Salsa

It’s no secret that Dalton has awesome food options. Salvadorean pupusas? Got them. Venezuelan Arepas? Check. Columbian Bandeja Paisa? Yes! Delicious Tex-Mex quesadillas, cheese-dip, and burritos? You betcha.

In fact, we recommend you take at least a month and just sample all of our awesome Latin food choices. Dalton’s population is close to 50% Hispanic, and we get to enjoy the culture and food that our Latino neighbors bring to our city!

Here is a round-up of our favorite Latino and Tex-Mex restaurants in Dalton, Georgia!

  1. Flako's Mexican Restaurant - - Our founder, Emily Matthews, ranks this as her favorite chips and salsa in Dalton (And Emily loves her some chips and salsa!). Flako’s nachos are pretty fantastic, too!

  2. Pablito's Cantina and Grill - Also made Emily’s list for favorite chips and salsa. Pablitos is excellent for catering options, too, with quick and efficient service, and fresh salsas and guac additions. (My mouth is watering…. is yours?!)

  3. Tijuana’s Mexican Restaurant - Downtown - Tijuana’s is great for grabbing some lunch or dinner, and then walking over to enjoy Burr Park concerts, or a treat at Garmony House. You can also add in some fun shopping at Downtown Dalton shops!

  4. Antojo’s Cocina - Fresh food and drinks from Mexico, Venezuela, and Columbia, Antojo’s is a great spot for Sunday lunch or dinner any night of the week. Make sure to try the empanaditas.

  5. Sol de Mayo - I can taste the Agua Frescas now. Try the Hibiscus. Also, their barbacoa is so tender and delicious, and their beans are traditional, soupy-like beans with excellent flavor. Need a great catering option? Try them out! Bonus: They are located in The Mill Dalton, so your kids can play on the playground outside and you can do a little shopping afterward!

Buen Provecho! (I had to google this… it means “Enjoy your food” in Spanish, in case you’re a gringo like me!)

Dalton is such a fun place to work, live, and play! Hmmm…. now I cannot decide where to go for lunch!
